 1. The Basilica has aided Rs. 5000 each for 16 schools in the name of Poondi madha Memorial Fund. Prizes are distributed both in
academic and in sports from the fund.Since this is a remote area and most of the residents are agricultural labourers, the higher education of their children remains a question mark in most of the cases. To help these children to continue their studies the Basilica offers a donation of Rs. 500, Rs. 1000, Rs. 1500 depending upon the course taken by the candidate.

Medical Service |
2. Chinna Rani dispensary is run by the sisters in the Basilica's campus. This was started in the year 1946. About 4 beds are there for
emergency cases and about an average of 30 patients are treated daily. Poondi is a village and there is no hospital within the radius of thirty k.m. the Basilica is planning to construct a hospital with all modern facilities. Apart from this, the Basilica now donates in cash for the poor to undergo treatment in Trichy or Thanjavur hospitals. In the past four years we have donated Rs. 27,500 and 56 sick people have been benefitted.

| Free Marriages |
3. Marriages were conducted for 100 couples in our basilica. At Present 'thali' and financial helps are offered for the deserving couples.
We have donated Rs. 66,500 . 64 poor couples for their marriage.

Agricultural services |
4.Our Basilica is also involved in agricultural sector. Thus the labour opportunities are given to the villagers, who are daily wagers. 25 acres of land owned by the Basilica are being cultivated.

Employment Services |
Candle Manufacturing Unit
The local village girls are employed in our Basilica for manufacturing candles of different designs and sizes.
Embroidery Unit
An embroidery section with tailoring is also run by the Basilica. More than 20 girls are employed and their products namely ready-made
dresses, pillow covers, hand bags, bags, nighties are sold in a separate stall.
